I’m Silvia Petrozza, I have been living with Scleroderma for the past 12 years, and I am fulfilling my dream of helping others living with autoimmune diseases find their purpose in life. But, let me first share with you how it all started…
HOW IT ALL STARTED I was diagnosed with Systemic Scleroderma at 24 years old, shortly after giving birth to my first child. At that time, I didn’t know what scleroderma was, nor how the diagnosis would change my life once and for all. The first years were very difficult – physically and emotionally. My days were filled with disheartening doctor visits, distressing chronic pain, pain medications, and many unanswered questions. I was not the person I wanted to be, and even worse, I was not the mom my kids wanted me to be. I’ve spent several years of my life trapped in my own skin until I could finally accept my new normal and stop allowing this disease to own me. It wasn’t until 3 years ago when I actually hit rock bottom, and I was faced with a defining moment of whether or not I wanted to live or die. I chose life over death, and I started working on finding my purpose in life. And I did. I became an advocate not only for myself, but also for others living with autoimmune diseases. Today, 12 years later, I am a certified life coach and I dream of helping people embrace their new normal, and finding their own purpose; Just like I did.
MY MISSION I truly believe that healing starts from within. It starts with accepting your situation, respecting your body, and embracing your new normal. The day I realized this, was the day I became aligned with my true purpose in life - help others take control of their life and have fun along the way. Let me show you how.
